Although there are many geckos living in South East Arnhem Land, we could not find many traditional Aboriginal names for different species. Geckos are referred to with “group” names such as Yaminji (Marra) and traditional language group names are listed in the table below.

Other geckos found in South East Arnhem Land include: Spiny-tailed Gecko, Zigzag Velvet Gecko, Pale-striped Ground Gecko, Crowned Gecko, Fat-tailed Diplodactylus, Northern Dtella, Northern Spotted Rock Dtella, Marbled Velvet Gecko and Bynoe's Gecko.     

Mainly live around rocks.

Snout-vent length: 50mm

Red-brown on back with scattered pale pinkish spots; white underneath. Lamellae underneath toes divided; 3rd and 4th toes without webbing.
