Looks like
Nyoongar: Looks like a yoorlaart but black skinned. He looks like a dinosaur. He can be 1-2ft long.
Feels like
Nyoongar: Soft to hold. The scales aren’t as prominent as the yoorn (bobtail).

Nyoongar: A hissy sound when they’re being defensive.
Food
Nyoongar: Would have been a traditional food source, cooked in the ashes, same way as a kaader (goanna) or yoorn. This would have been the last option to eat - survival food.
Nyoongar: Rocky outcrops - hiding under lizard traps.
Nyoongar: Quiet, and placid. They are cold blooded. Runs away when people get too close but will chase you if you have a feed that it wants (like sausage rolls)! They love tomatoes!
Nyoongar: Totemic.
Nyoongar: They come out in Djilba (spring) through to Birak (summer) They like the warmer weather, as they hibernate in Mookaroo (winter).
