Erect subshrub to 50 cm tall, almost glabrous, with minute glandular hairs on young parts. Leaves sessile, narrowly elliptic to narrowly oblong, acute, entire or dentate; lamina 12-43 mm long, 3-15 mm wide. Flowers in spikes to 14 cm long; bracts leafy; bracteoles narrowly ovate, 8-11 mm long. Sepals broadly ovate, to 0.5 mm long, connate. Corolla 16-24 mm long, with ±appressed hairs outside, bearded inside, blue; barbulae few, simple; wings c. 1 mm wide. Ovary 2-locular; indusium 1-1.5 mm long, stiff purplish beard ±equalling bristles on lips. Fruit cylindrical, 2-4 mm long, rugose, slightly pubescent.
Occurs in the Musgrave and Tomkinson Ranges, north-western S.A.

Indusium depressed-obovate. Similar to Scaevola laciniata but that species has less dentate leaves and the corolla glabrous outside. Also similar to S. amblyanthera which has leaves with at least some hairs of various types.
